Purpose: To develop the upper abs.

Execution: Lie flat on a mat. Place a medium size medicine ball under you feet. Point your hands down to your knees and curl up in a smooth motion as high as you can, lifting your shoulder blades off the floor. Hold the peak contraction position for a moment, exhaling at the top. Lower your body slowly, allowing your back to unroll onto the floor; come back to your starting position before curling up for another rep.
