Purpose: To develop the erectors of the lower back.

Execution: Position yourself face down across a hyperextension bench and hook your heels under the support. Bend forward as far as possible, stretching out the lower back, with your hands either folded across your chest or behind your head. From there, lift yourself back up until your upper body is above parallel to the floor. Avoid hyperextending your spine, do not go higher than this.
