Purpose: To develop the lower abs.

Execution: Lie flat on your back with your hands out to your side, palms down.  Grab a medium size medicine ball with your heels. Keeping your legs straight, raise your feet off the floor until your legs are up and over your body. It is important for your hips to raise off the floor and exhale at this point to increase the contraction of the abs. Lower your legs to the point just before your lower back starts to lift off the ground before lifting for another rep.
