Purpose: To bring out the striations of the obliques.

Execution: Lie on your right side with your feet on top of one another; pivot your forearm so that your upper arm is perpendicular to the floor; using your obliques, thrust your hips up in the lateral plane; hold the peak contraction for a moment and exhale before lowering your body for another rep; do not allow your body to rest on the floor in between reps, complete the set and repeat for the other side
