One of the best things to do if you want to build muscle and add size is to have 1-2 smoothies/shakes each day. Smoothies/shakes are a great way to get a lot proteins, carbs, and fats into the body, even if you are not very hungry. The great thing about shakes are that you can through anything you like into them. Fruits, veggies, nuts, nut butters, protein powders, whatever you like!
If your goal is to add size be sure to add soaked oatmeal into your shake. Oatmeal is a great source of healthy complex carbohydrates which are great for adding on size and building muscle. Just be sure to soak the oats for at least 30 minutes.
Directions
- Add unsweetened almond milk and water to blender followed by blueberries, eggs (ORGANIC!), oatmeal and protein powder. *Recipe is with whey protein, if vegan use plant protein.
- Mix at a low speed until smooth
