Level: Intermediate
Purpose: To target the middle head of the pectoralis major muscle.
Execution: Standing with one foot in front of the other, grasp the handles attached to the pulley at shoulder height and extend your arms out to either side. Keeping your body upright and a slight bend in your elbows, bring your arms forward and in together as if you are hugging a tree. Squeeze your chest as you bring your arms forward and pause for a brief second when your hands are together in front of you. Exhale as you bring your arms forward and inhale and expand your chest as you reach back.
