Level: Beginner

Purpose:

Execution: From a standing position, take a wide stance with your feet wider than shoulder width apart and your toes pointing outward. Grasp a dumbbell with both hands and hold it in between your feet. Keeping your body upright, drive up through your heels until your legs are fully extended but not locked out. Squeeze at the peak contraction before lowering yourself to the start position. Do not allow the dumbbell to hit the floor before pushing up for another repetition.
